Meet Alana. She does the paperwork, you press send.
Alana is the AI assistant built into SignMaster. Describe the job in a sentence and she fills the draft. Ask what's stuck and she tells you why. She prepares; you review and send.

What Alana does
- Fills the draftNames, addresses, prices and dates, in the right fields across every page of the document.
- Places the fieldsSignature, date and other fields next to the cues the document already has, like Signature: or a row of underscores.
- Adds the signersEach person you name is added to the envelope, in the order you mention them.
- Finds what's stuckWhat's waiting on you, which envelopes are overdue, and why a signer hasn't finished.
- SummarizesA plain-English summary of the document for you. You can also show signers an AI summary above the first page, clearly labeled as written by AI.
- Suggests the next stepStart a draft from a template, remind a slow signer, save a new contact. Each suggestion waits for you to confirm it.
A request, start to finish
Say you've uploaded a service agreement. You type: “Fill this for Ava Thompson at 908 Prairie Rose Lane, starting March 3, and add her as the signer.” Alana fills the matching fields wherever they appear, adds Ava to the envelope (SignMaster's word for one send: one or more documents going to one or more signers) and leaves the draft for you to check. You fix anything you'd say differently and press send.
What she won't do
- Send, void or sign anything. Nothing leaves SignMaster until you review it and press send.
- Fill a signature, initials or date-signed field. Those belong to the signer.
- Write your contract. She works on the documents you bring and doesn't draft contract language.
- Act behind your back. Suggestions run only when you confirm them, and they expire if you don't.
Where to find her
On the web, Alana sits in the envelope editor, with an Auto-place signature fields button for a quick start, and she can answer questions about your whole workspace. She's in the iPhone and iPad app too, where you can type or dictate. Want to use SignMaster from Claude or ChatGPT instead? That's Connect an AI.
Plans and limits
Every plan includes Alana. A request is one message to her. Free includes 10 requests a month, Solo 50, Crew 300 and Company 1000, and the 14-day trial gets Crew's allowance. Compare plans.
Questions? Answers.
Can Alana send documents without me?
No. She has no way to send, void or sign. Anything she suggests waits for your confirmation, and sending is always your button to press.
What counts as an Alana request?
One message to Alana, the AI assistant that fills fields, places signature boxes and adds signers for you. You always review before anything is sent.
Can Alana write a contract for me?
No. Bring your own document or template. Alana fills it in and sets it up, but the wording is yours.
Does Alana work in the iPhone and iPad app?
Yes. She works on a single draft or across your workspace in the app, the same as on the web, and requests count toward the same monthly allowance.
