Refund Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

SignMaster is a product of Master Software Solutions LLC. SignMaster subscriptions are non-refundable. We refund only verified billing errors, and every refund request must be made in writing.

1.The short version

  • All payments are final. We don't give refunds or credits for subscriptions, extra seats, renewals, unused time, or partial billing periods.
  • The one exception is a billing error: when we charged you incorrectly, as defined below. We refund the incorrect amount.
  • Every refund request must be in writing, sent by email from the account's owner or billing contact, within 60 days of the charge.
  • Purchases made through Apple's App Store are refunded only by Apple, under Apple's policies.

2.What this policy covers

This policy applies to every payment made to Master Software Solutions LLC for SignMaster, including monthly and annual plans (Solo, Crew and Company), extra team seats, plan upgrades, renewals, and any other paid feature, whether you pay on our website or in our apps. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If the two ever conflict about refunds, this policy controls.

"You" means the workspace (company account) that pays for SignMaster and the people authorized to manage its billing.

3.No refunds

Plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Except for billing errors, we do not refund, credit, or prorate any payment, including when:

  • you cancel during a billing period, or forget to cancel before a renewal date;
  • you don't use SignMaster, or use less of it than you expected;
  • you downgrade to a cheaper plan or to the Free plan partway through a period;
  • you remove team members or extra seats before the period ends;
  • envelopes, Alana requests, storage or other allowances go unused;
  • you switch from annual to monthly billing (the switch starts at your next renewal), or the unused part of a period when you upgrade (you pay only the difference);
  • you change your mind, or chose the wrong plan, interval or number of seats;
  • someone in your workspace with billing access made the purchase, even if others in your company didn't agree to it;
  • your account is suspended or closed because it broke our Terms of Service;
  • a price change takes effect after the notice our Terms require;
  • you're unhappy with a feature, a third-party service (such as an email provider), or the outcome of a document someone else signed or declined.

Annual plans are a commitment for the full year. Canceling an annual plan stops the next renewal; it does not refund the remaining months.

Changing plans: upgrades start right away, and you pay the price difference for the rest of the current period. Downgrades, and switches from annual to monthly billing, start at your next renewal date; until then you keep the plan you paid for.

4.Canceling

You can cancel anytime in SignMasterunder Settings › Billing (or, for App Store purchases, in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions). After you cancel:

  • your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for;
  • you won't be charged again;
  • when the period ends your workspace moves to the Free plan, and documents already sent for signature keep working.

To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in Settings › Billing. Removing extra seats takes effect the same way: you aren't charged for them at the next renewal, and the current period isn't refunded.

5.Billing errors: the only refunds we give

A billing error is a charge we made incorrectly. Only these count:

  • Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same plan and billing period.
  • Charge after cancellation: you were charged for a renewal even though you canceled before the renewal date. Our records of the cancellation, or the confirmation we sent you, are the proof.
  • Wrong amount: the amount charged differs from the price, seat count, or billing interval you selected and confirmed at checkout, or from the price in effect after proper notice.
  • Seats you had already removed: you were charged at renewal for extra seats you removed before the renewal date.
  • System error: a technical fault on our side or our payment processor's caused an incorrect charge.

These are not billing errors:

  • a correct charge you forgot about, didn't expect, or no longer want;
  • taxes we were required to collect and charged correctly;
  • currency conversion, foreign transaction or overdraft fees charged by your bank or card issuer;
  • any of the situations listed under "No refunds" above.

If a charge appears that nobody in your workspace authorized, tell us in writing right away and contact your card issuer. We'll investigate, and if the charge resulted from an error on our side we treat it as a billing error.

6.How to request a refund for a billing error

All refund requests must be made in writing. Requests made by phone, chat, social media, in-app messages, comments on documents, or to our AI assistant are not accepted and do not start the review. Send an email to support@usesignmaster.app with the subject line "Refund request: billing error", and include:

  • your workspace (company) name and the email address of the account's owner;
  • the date and amount of the charge, and the invoice or receipt number;
  • which billing error it is, and a short explanation;
  • any supporting proof, such as a screenshot of your cancellation confirmation or a card statement showing a duplicate charge.

Requirements:

  • The request must come from the workspace owner or a member with billing access, sent from the email address on their SignMaster account.
  • We must receive it within 60 days of the charge. Later requests are not eligible, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • One request per charge. We may ask for more information before we decide.

7.What happens next

  • We confirm in writing that we received your request within 2 business days.
  • We review it and send our decision in writing within 10 business days of receiving everything we need.
  • If we confirm a billing error, we refund the incorrect amount, including any tax charged on it, to the original payment method. Refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
  • If a charge was correct, we explain why in writing. Our decision is final, except where the law gives you further rights.
  • Refunds are never paid in cash, by check, or to a different card or account than the one charged.

8.Purchases through Apple

If you subscribed inside our iPhone or iPad app, Apple processed the payment and holds the funds. We can't issue refunds for those purchases, and we can't see or change your Apple payment details. To ask for a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides those requests under its own policies.

To cancel an App Store subscription, go to your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

9.Free plan and trials

The Free plan costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Trials started on our website don't need a card and don't turn into a paid plan on their own: when a trial ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan. A trial started through the App Store renews into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends; any refund for that charge is up to Apple.

10.Chargebacks and payment disputes

Please email us before you dispute a charge with your bank. Most billing questions are settled faster that way. If you dispute a charge that was correct, we will provide your bank with our records, including your purchase, plan and usage history, and we may suspend paid features on the workspace until the dispute is resolved. A dispute that is decided in your favor counts as your refund for that charge.

11.Your legal rights

Some laws give consumers rights that a business can't remove, such as a right to cancel within a set period in certain places. Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under a law that can't be waived. Where such a law applies, we follow it.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Changes apply to charges made after that date, not to charges made before it. If a change is significant, we will tell workspace owners by email or in SignMaster before it takes effect.
