iPhone and iPad

Scan, sign and send from your iPhone or iPad

The iPhone and iPad app puts all three moves in your pocket: scan the paper, get it signed in person, send the rest. It runs on the same account as the web app, so your envelopes, templates, contacts and saved signatures are the same on both.

Scan

The app uses Apple's document camera, which finds the page edges and captures on its own. Modes for ID cards, receipts, book pages, passports, business cards and QR codes handle the odd shapes. The text is read on the phone and stored invisibly in the PDF, so you can search for a scan later by a word inside it. More on the scan page.

Sign in person

Choose Sign in person from an envelope and hand over the phone or iPad. Signing mode fills the screen, guides the customer field by field, and can't be swiped away. Only your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode ends it, or a PIN if the device has none. If you sign next, the app takes you straight to your own signature. Read more about in-person signing.

Send

Start an envelope from a scan, a file or one of your templates. An envelope is SignMaster's word for one send: one or more documents going to one or more signers. Add the signers, let Alana fill the fields, and send. Signers get a link and sign on any phone or computer, without the app.

More in the app

  • Documents and foldersScans and PDFs in one library, with folders, searchable by name and by the text inside scans.
  • A PDF editorMerge and split PDFs, black out what nobody should see, and export as a PDF, image or text.
  • Signatures and stampsDraw, type or photograph your signature. Company stamps, like a license number or seal, are made from a photo and shared with your team.
  • Face ID lockThe app locks when you open it and after you've been away, and hides your documents in the app switcher.
  • Sign it yourselfAfter a scan, sign a document on the spot, then share, email, print or save it to Files.
  • Business cards to contactsScan a card and the person lands in your SignMaster contacts, ready for the next send.

Plans

The app uses the same plans as the web. Free covers 3 envelopes a month; Solo, Crew and Company send unlimited envelopes. Crew is $49 a month for 5 people, and new workspaces get 14 days of Crew free. Compare plans.

Questions? Answers.

Do my customers need the app to sign?

No. They sign on your device in person, or from a link on any phone or computer. The app is for you and your team.

Is there an Android app?

No. On Android, use SignMaster in the browser: send, sign and sign in person all work there.

Does the app work offline?

Not for signing or sending. Scanning and building the PDF happen on the phone, but signing and sending need a connection.

Will my work show up on the web too?

Your envelopes, templates, contacts and saved signatures are shared between the app and the web. The scan library with folders and text search lives in the app.
