Signature maker.Type it or draw it.
Make a clean signature in seconds, then download it as a transparent PNG or an SVG. Free, no sign-up, and it never leaves your device.
Your signature never leaves your device. It's made and saved right here in your browser. PNG has a transparent background.
Use it to sign a real document free.
A picture of your signature is handy for letters, email footers and your own copies. On its own, though, it isn't an audit-trailed e-signature: nothing records who placed it, when, or whether the page changed afterward. Electronic vs. digital signatures explains the difference, and the glossary defines an electronic signature.
SignMaster keeps that record. You and your signers can draw, type or upload a signature (the PNG you make here works), and every signed PDF ends with a certificate and a timestamped audit trail. The Free plan sends 3 envelopes a month, with no card.
How to make your signature.
Four steps, about a minute.
- 1
Type it or draw it
Type your name and pick one of six script styles, or switch to Draw and sign with your finger, a stylus or a mouse.
- 2
Make it yours
Choose black or blue ink. In Type, set the size and slant. In Draw, pick a pen and undo any stroke you don't like.
- 3
Download it
The PNG has a transparent background and is drawn at twice the size, so it prints sharp. The SVG stays sharp at any size.
- 4
Put it to work
In Word or Google Docs, insert it as a picture. When someone else has to sign too, send the PDF free instead.
Questions? Answers.
Is this signature maker really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on downloads.
Do you keep a copy of my signature?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type or draw is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere, and when you close the tab it's gone.
Is a typed or drawn signature legally binding?
It can be. US law counts an electronic sound, symbol or process as a signature when a person adopts it with the intent to sign (15 U.S.C. § 7006). What a picture can't show by itself is who placed it and when, which is what an e-signature tool's audit trail records. This is general information, not legal advice.
Should I download the PNG or the SVG?
PNG works almost everywhere: Word, Google Docs, email signatures and PDF editors, and its transparent background sits on any page. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size. A typed SVG carries its font inside, which browsers show exactly; some other apps don't. When in doubt, use the PNG.
Which fonts does it use?
Great Vibes, Dancing Script, Mr Dafoe, Sacramento, Allura, Caveat. All six are open-source fonts under the SIL Open Font License, served from this site.
Can I use this signature in SignMaster?
Yes. When you sign a document in SignMaster you can draw, type or upload an image of your signature, so the PNG you made here works. Sign a PDF free.
Need someone
else to sign?
No card. Every signed PDF comes with a certificate.
