Why it matters
If anyone ever asks whether a signature is real, the certificate is the first thing you show. It turns the audit trail into one page that travels with the signed PDF, so the evidence stays with the document wherever it's filed.
What's on SignMaster's certificate
- The document title, the envelope ID (an envelope is one send of one or more documents to one or more signers) and when it was completed.
- Each original file with its page count and SHA-256 fingerprint.
- Each signer's name and email, what they applied (signatures, initials, approvals), their IP address, approximate location and device.
- When each signer viewed, consented and signed, and which version of the consent they agreed to.
- Whether they signed in person, on paper, or in another language, plus a full event history.
Every page of the signed PDF carries the envelope ID, so pages can be matched to the certificate. Every signer gets the PDF and certificate by email when the last person signs, on every plan.
