Why the word matters

Like a paper envelope, it groups everything that belongs together: the contract, its addenda and everyone who needs to sign them. Signers, fields, the signing order, the sign-by date and the audit trail all belong to the envelope, and it finishes with one signed PDF and one certificate of completion.

How SignMaster counts envelopes

  • One send is one envelope, however many documents and signers it holds.
  • Reminders and re-sends never count again.
  • The free plan includes 3 envelopes a month. Paid plans have no envelope limit.

If a plan changes, envelopes already out for signature finish normally. See pricing for each plan.

Questions? Answers.

Do reminders or re-sends use up envelopes?

No. An envelope counts once, when it's sent. Reminders and re-sends never count again.

What happens to envelopes already out if I downgrade?

They finish normally. Signers can still sign, completed documents still arrive, and you keep every signed copy. Plan limits only apply to new sends.
