The paperwork behind a lit-up house

  • Install agreementThe design, the price, the install window and the takedown date. If the customer rents the lights for the season instead of buying them, say so here.
  • Renewal for next seasonLast year's design and price, ready to sign again. The easiest sale you'll make all year, if it reaches the customer before a competitor does.
  • Design approvalThe customer's yes on rooflines, trees and colors before your crew climbs. Initials beside each choice save an argument in December.
  • Commercial and HOA agreementsBusinesses, property managers and HOAs often need a manager and an owner to sign. Set the signing order and each gets their turn.
  • Takedown and storage termsWhen the lights come down, whether you store them, and what happens to anything the customer owns.
  • Change requestsAnother tree, a second color, a later install date. Get the new price signed before the crew rolls.

Renewals, all at once

This is where SignMaster earns its keep for lighting pros. Export last year's customer list, then bulk send your renewal template from that one CSV file. Each row becomes its own envelope, which is SignMaster's word for one send: one or more documents going to one or more signers.

  1. 1

    Build the renewal template once

Name, address, package and price fields, plus the signature. Checkboxes let customers add extras, and a calculated field adds up the new total.

  2. 2

    Match your columns

Columns in your spreadsheet fill each customer's name, email and the template fields, so every renewal shows their own address and price.

  3. 3

    Send and watch the list

Every customer gets their own link. Automatic reminders chase the slow ones, and each envelope's timeline shows when it was opened and when it was signed.

Bulk send is on every paid plan. Each renewal counts as an envelope, and paid plans have no envelope limit, so a big list never costs extra.

New customers, three ways

  • At the door. Choose Sign in person and hand over your phone or iPad. The homeowner is guided field by field. In the iPhone and iPad app, only your Face ID or passcode gets you back out.
  • From a link. Quoted on the phone? Send the agreement and they sign on any phone or computer, no account needed.
  • From your website. Turn your install agreement into a public signing link and post it on your site, in an email, or print the QR code on a yard sign or flyer. Each person who fills it in gets their own envelope.

Public link responses count toward your plan's envelopes, so on Free they share the 3 a month. You can require email verification, set an expiry and cap the number of responses.

Get the install details while you're at it

Add fields for the things your crew needs on install day: gate codes, outlet locations, pets in the yard. When the season's agreements are in, export the filled-in answers to a spreadsheet for routing. Customers can attach a photo of their house, too, so the designer knows what they're working with.

Spanish-speaking customers see the signing page, emails and consent in Spanish, and every signer can switch among 6 languages.

Pricing for a seasonal crew

Free covers 3 envelopes a month for one person. Solo is $15 a month with unlimited envelopes and bulk send. Crew is $49 a month for 5 people, so your salespeople and office manager all send, and seasonal help can be added for $8 a month each. Every new workspace gets 14 days of Crew free, no card. See every plan.

What SignMaster doesn't do

  • It doesn't design displays, measure rooflines or schedule installs.
  • It doesn't take deposits or payments.
  • It sends signing requests by email, not text. You can copy a customer's link and text it yourself.

Questions? Answers.

Can I send renewals to all of last year's customers at once?

Yes. Bulk send takes one CSV file and sends each customer their own renewal, with their name, address and price filled in. It's on every paid plan.

Can new customers sign up from my website?

Yes. Turn a template into a public signing link and put it on your site or print its QR code. Every person who signs gets their own envelope, and you see each one as it comes in.

Do my customers need an account or an app?

No. They sign on your phone or iPad at the door, or open a link on any phone or computer.

What if a customer wants to change their package after signing?

Send the change as its own short agreement with the new price. If they haven't signed yet, you can correct the envelope instead: update the fields or the message and they see the new version.
