In-person signing
In-person signing (also called hosted signing) is when a signer signs electronically on the sender's own phone or tablet while they're together, instead of from a link on their own device.

When to use it
It's the fastest close there is: a homeowner at the kitchen table, a tenant at a showing, a customer at the counter. Nobody waits for an email, and the deal is signed before you leave.
How it works in SignMaster
- 1
Start it
Open the envelope and tap Sign in person for the signer whose turn it is.
- 2
Hand over
A hand-over screen shows who should take the device.
- 3
They sign
The signer agrees to sign electronically and is guided through their fields.
- 4
Hand back
A hand-back screen asks them to return it. In the iPhone and iPad app, only your Face ID or passcode gets you back in.
The certificate of completion notes that the signer signed in person and who hosted it, alongside the usual time and device details.

Does in-person signing need the app?
No. It works in the browser on any phone or tablet. The iPhone and iPad app adds a Face ID or passcode lock for getting your device back.
